I shall break down my villains much like Malakai did...<br>VG: Andross, Star Fox 64. Ah, that game rocked, and Andross was a good villain, especially with his decoy and whatnot. <br>Movie: Darth Vader. Vader kicks so much ass... and apparently, the new Star Wars Episode III movie <i>doesn't</i> suck. <br>Book: I would name a character from the "Malazan Book of the Fallen" series, but the lines are so indefinite... a character might be a "villain", it might not. In that series, it's always very much how you look at it. In that absence, I would have to say:<br>Jagang, "Sword of Truth" series, by Terry Goodkind.

VG: SA-X--Samus's X replica, fully powered. SA-X hunts you throughout the Metroid Fusion game, and it couldn't be more menacing. Later, you find that there isn't just one SA-X...<p>Movie: I have to agree with Laco. Darth Vader is so cold and precise, he must be the perfect enemy. <p>Book: In the Malazan book of the Fallen series, Topper makes a good enemy, if not a villain. Like Darth Vader, he is cold and precise, but Topper also has charisma.

Also, he aint a 100% bad guy, as you'll discover in Moonraker.<p>He is just my favourite bad guy as of this date, he rules.

Book: Azalin Rex from both "I, Strahd: The War against Azalin" and "Lord of the Necropolis" novels. Darkon's undead wizard king is so cold yet so human, knowing so much yet still not so smart at critical times. A walking irony.<p>Comic: Lex Luthor as portrayed in the graphic novel "Lex Luthor: The Unauthorized Biography". His parents tried to inculcate the right feelings and values in young Lex, but in a way that just wasn't meant to work, and in turn only showed him the effectivity of pragmatism.<p>Game: Sarah Kerrigan from Starcraft: Broodwar. Taking the words "treachery", "abusive", and "b*tch" to new heights.... a walking message that might makes right in an all too real-life-like way, you can't help cursing at the monitor when it's all over.<p>Movies: Freddy Krueger. Wes Craven was aware the horror genre was dead back in that day, so instead he made Freddy into a brilliant comedian of dark humor. My favorite will always be the one and only (well not really) Sephiroth. Hes UNSTOPPABLE!!!!! even though I beat him he is still incredible.

Cloud wanted his revenge against the guy, which drove him further to strike back and take him down for what he did. <p>I wouldn't call him unstoppable, though...since he ended up dying in the end. <p>Speculate as you will...he did manage to survive when Cloud threw him into the Mako Reactor, but I highly doubt that he'd survive that last battle, as he was shown all bloody and defeated. :p

You have to deal with him throughout the whole game. He's also the final boss that you must face.<p>He terrorizes the world, literally rearranging its face. He's psychotic and power-hungry. His laugh is adorable! (well, to me, anyways...) He massacres the Espers and steals their powers, building his own. He declares himself as a God, and watches all atop his tower, and shall shine his Light of Judgement upon those who oppose him...<p>Ah, it's been awhile since I've played it, so that's just my interpretation of him. :p

I thought Kefka was a lousy villain. He was just crazy and turned power-hungry when he discovered the truth about Espers and magic. He has little to no motivation and barely interacts with the heroes. It's pretty clear that the game is about the heroic characters, and Kefka is just a generic power-drunk homicidal psychopath. Everyone I know who played the game, including me, thought "Huh? Kefka's the villain? I just don't see it..." when they first played it.<br>
