So has anyone gotten this game? So far I am thoroughly enjoying it Great new SRPG.

ZOothe! How is that game ! I see it all the time, stare at it, and then dont want to waste 50$ on another crap RPG that ill beat in a week or two, and get nothing fun from it!<p>Send screen shots if you can dewd! ><

I like it so far. The graphics are great, the music is excellent, and I really like that it's more or less just a straight forward strategy RPG. They didn't try to add some lame gimmicks to "sell" it.<p>My only complaint is the voice acting. Normally I don't really care about that kind of stuff all that much, but the last few RPGs I've gotten had pretty good (or at least convincing) voice acting. Most of the acting in Stella Deus is pretty weak.<p>I'd say it's definitely worth getting. Frys's is selling it for $39.99 (outpost.com) or just wait a couple months and I'm sure the price will go down. Heck, I bought Phantom Brave for $50 and it's less than $30 now.<p>I'd send screen shots but I don't have a card with video capture on it Sorry.

Heh, I have Phantom Brave I haven't played it much I'm about 25% through it......<p>I DID play Growlanser 2 and 3 (Growlanser Generations), those are some rockin' games.....both are linear which I like, no stupid junk to make it "worth buying"......<p>Get the 90$ growlanser, you get pretty stuff with it .....<p>I shall have to check this stella deus out once it drops to like 25$...until then I have Ys VI to mess with...........again and again!.....and a bunch of Xbox games...<p>have you noticed the RPG market is kind of crapping out though?!?!? turn based classic RPG's are nowhere to be found, and thankfully Nippon Ichi is making nice games...I pre-ordered Atlier Iris...looked pretty cool....<p>I can accept the lack of classic RPGs if the strategy ones stay as they are though, Growlanser alone makes me happy....and the Dragon Force remake!...that'll rock too, and...<p>have you ever played La Pucelle Tactics or Disgaea?? Yeah, there seem to be a lot of strategy games coming out but very few "good" turn based rpgs. I think the last one I got that was really good was Tales of Symphonia (and Star Ocean III a close second).<p>I have played La Pucelle and Disgaea as Benoit stated. Disgaea is AWESOME!!!!!! You have to get that game if you like SRPGs at all. La Pucelle came out before Disgaea and kind of laid the ground work for it's greatness. I, however, played La Pucelle *after* having played Disgaea and was somewhat disappointed. Also, I haven't played much of Phantom Brave either as I still liked Disgaea more. But from what I hear, Makai Kingdom should be more like Disgaea so hopefully it's worth the money.<p>Atelier Iris looks really cool so I'm definitely getting that later on this month. As for right now, I'm still playing PSG:2 and Stella Deus. After that I'm going to try my hand at the Japanese release of Ys Eternal Story 1 & 2 for PS2... and by then I should also have the Ys III remake.... maybe.<p>I really need to curb my spending on video games. My move to Seattle continues to exhaust my wallet <p>I'm out!

Ah I have Ys 1 and 2 eternal for PC, I beat that in a weekend haha.....<p>What about shining tears?! .....I'm eager to play a new shining force game but I don't know about a 50$ risk, .....I kinda don't like those much .......<p>Check out Growlanser if you can. Its purty.<p>and I shall maybe give Disgaea a try, finally.

I actually got the Growlanser box set for xmas. I beat the first game in a few days but grew tired of the system early into the second game and stopped playing. Maybe one day I'll get back to it...<p>Shining Tears is way better than the reviews it's been getting. First and foremost: it is NOT a Shining Force game. It is a Shining game, mostly similar to the Shining Soul games for the GBA. It's a fun game and I'd recommend picking it up. Don't forget that Shining Force NEO will be out in the US this Fall!!! If you liked Record of Lodoss War for DC or simply like action/rps like Ys, you'll probably dig the new Force game.<p>As for Ys Eternal... did you apply an English patch? I'm going to ave to play it "blind" since I don't know Japanese. Any tips?<p>Anyways, for sure get Disgaea... and you'll be so enthralled in the item world trying to customize your players and items!!! I'm serious, I'm actually *attached* to my players on that game! I get pissed when they die and I have to make them stronger to get revenge!!!!<p>TO WAR!!!!!!!!

I have the english patches. It is phenominal to play them! theyre much nicer then the DOS one, or the NES one!!! <p>Shining Tears, Shining Force, shining, same thing, you know what I mean Maybe ill check it out....<p>I liked the system in Growlanser btw, ...probably because I dawdled around until everyone was beyond uber... hahaha
