Aren't gas prices in the UK like 4 times as much as they are in the US? People here (the US) should stop b****ing about gas prices... they're going to go up, just face it. If you don't like it, find an alternate method of transportation.<p>This country is filled with morons driving around in SUV's who complain about the money they're spening on gas as if it's not their own fault for buying something that get's horrible gas mileage.<p>I have a friend who is a programmer and she worked on a presentation CD-Rom for some companies (Honda and Nissan were among them I believe) who are working on Hydrogen fueled cars. That's what we need to be looking at. The conbustable engine is tired and inefficient.<p>Noah: On a side note, I believe there will be a Hybrid SUV coming out soon (if you need a truck so bad). Hybrids are vehicles that use a combination of both electricity and gasoline to fuel the engine. The first few hybrids were pretty lame (Honda's Insight and Toyota's Prius), but they're getting better.<p>My girlfriend owns a Honda Civic Hybrid. It's actually pretty cool. She can get anywhere between 400 to 600 miles out of her 10 gallon tank depending on the type of driving she does. With all the city driving she does, she averages just under 50 mpg. The batteries charge themselves through kinetic energy, so simply driving and braking will recharge them, and the gasoline engine is really only there to assist in fueling the engine, it's not the primary power behind it all. Also, because she bought a hybrid, my girlfriend can make a special deduction on her taxes!<p>So, anyways, I doubt hybrids are the next big thing.
