When you read his profile it states that he is the leading biologist on Motavia. For one as young as him surely all the attention that he dedicated to this field of study puts his interest past that of merely a hobby or career. This has become his lifestyle.

For some reason I see Rolf more with anna. They would balance each other out. I see Amy more with Rudo as Amy is a healer and a nurturer. Rudo has been though some tough times and I can't see him with a strong woman like Anna.
