You can play every possible aspect of GTA: San Andreas and you will not see these sex scenes. If you want to see them, you literally have to hack into the game code, change several variables, and then you’ll get to see what looks like an incomplete “mini-game” where the main character has sex with several women.<p>Bottom line: apparently, the designers of this video game were originally thinking of putting this sex part into the game. They started to create it, then decided not to included it. And rather than delete all of the unused code, they just left it on the disc in some hidden file directory. It would be like building a house, then taking a few extra doorframes you built and chucking them under the floorboards.<p>That being said, the game is, of course, extremely violent, antisocial, and frequently alarmingly sexist. But I’m tired of these media reports acting as though the game designers were giving porn to 5 year olds.<br></blockquote>

Taking games off shelves will be interesting. Perhaps children can get there hands on them like drugs or cigarettes. Soon they will be illegal with fines XD<p>Putting that aside....all industries are forcing the boundaries of ratings. In recent years, you see more and more F-Words in PG-13 movies now. During teh 90's, an F-Word lead straight to 14A. Will they start with nudity as well? Maybe ease into the ratings with some bare asses or something. (Note: Used Canadian movie ratings)<p>Music these days...I bought the new Queens of the Stone Age album and didn't even realise there was an Explicit Content sticker on it until I started checking the CD Booklet. Nobody cares about that stuff at all.<p>I do think putting the porn ina video game is bad, but there is to much over reacting. Soon, if parents want children to be "normal" they will have to keep them watching Cinderella at the age of 15. And omg, thank the lord that the Back Street Boys are back! %) <p>Its inevitable.

The funny thing is with shock value is that things like this increase it, which makes it all the more desirable for kids. That's the way shock value works; there is something that intrigues us about the forbidden.

When that psychotic kid killed a friend of his in the UK last year -- because he was supposedly "influenced" by the game's violent content -- sales have increased because of the publicity it recieved.<p>Any publicity is good publicity for Rockstar, no matter how negative it may be towards the company; their game sales increase regardless because their games are seen as "teh shit" to wannabe cool kids due to its mature content when most of them are just really...shit. :/<p><blockquote><i>Originally posted by gbrooks</i><p>Anyway, I think the ESRB is being a little unfair here.. It's not like Rockstar has forcibly provoked the underaged to download their sex scenes. <p>Once again, the moral brigade has to blame someone or something because our democratic society has suddenly become corrupt all of sudden when it already has been for decades. They are very adept at going to a website, to download a patch that will "Add more to the game/unlock areas/allow cheats!"<p>And since most young gamers have to cheat, even at the simple sports games.. And since many people have brothers and sisters who want to do what their big siblings do..<p>It's always funny.. the people who don't care about kids seeing indecent things, or sexual acts..<p>They will always change their mind when they have kids. And he's dumb enough to get the content unlocked, cause he's one of those white/black wannabes.<p>See?
