You people aren't bitching about Shining in the Darkness, The Holy Ark 1/2Or the other SHining games with 3-4 people in a 3d dungeon Crawl..Those wouldn't be shining games according to your definition of them..

No one is denying that there are Shining games that differ from other Shining games. Shining the Holy Ark vs. Shining Wisdom vs. Shining Force vs. Shining Soul... I think each one could be put in it's own category or genre.I think there are two problems here: First and foremost is that this new game is called Shining Force NEO. The fact that "Force" is in the title implies to the normal Shining fan that the game will be an SRPG. If Sega would have just called this game something else and left out the word "Force", you wouldn't be hearing so many people complain. They'd most likely just be whining for a new "Force" game.The second problem is that it seems that there are way too many people out there who think that ANY game starting with "Shining" is supposed to be an SRPG. Somwhere along the way, Shining Force became the definition of the entire collection of Shining games to these people.I like the fact that there are so many different types of Shining games out there, and I'm really looking forward to playing both Shining Tears and Shining Force Neo.[size=small][Edit by zoothe on [TIME]1111101074[/TIME]][/size]

Only to you Benoit.I admit that NEO could be quite good, but I HATE the fact that right now this looks like they're plan for all the Force series now, an action RPG 'force' instead of the Tatical goodess that everyone loved, Sega is consently screwing over the fans and its not like they're getting any more fans at that.I already played a Demo of ST and I have to say that although the battles are fun it really just didn't interest me as much as I was hoping, I'll still get the game and hope that the plot is good and that the gameplay somewhat improves.BTW Zoothe your not really correct about that statement, most Shining Fan's know SF better because its a series of games, the normal Shining Games are mostly stand alone games, and most of them came out on Saturn which is a very rare thing to see now a days.

SHINING SOUL did average sales,SHINING SOUL 2 did well and RODD did quite well in japan and the USA. Shining in the Darkness and Shining the Holy Ark. And yes, I do know that there are other Shining games in existence besides the Force ones, but that is not what this argument is about.

Anyone who's a die hard SF fan has probably been over to the Shining Force Central website which has tons of information on EVERY Shining game. My statement was meant to point out the fact that there are so many uninformed people out there who think that either Shining Force is the focal point of all the other Shining games OR they simply don't know what they're talking about.
