Capoeira... I've heard a little about it.<p>Isn't it a fighting style that was disguised as a form of dance, invented by the African slaves of Brazil to fight against their Portuguese-descended oppressors a few hundred years ago? Correct me if I am wrong on this.

The movements are very agile and fast, the contenders (or dancers... because they never get to touch themselves during these exibitions) make their movements based on typical afro musics that are played during the fight. It´s interesting to see, like a vigorous ballet or something.<p>Getting into a real fight with a capoeirista is the worst idea one can get.
