Ahem. BOT (Back On Topic)...

LOL. Funny since we actually were on topic. (talking about Mieu and Saner)
Anyway, I agree about PSII.
About PSO, I read something like that somewhere. Let me look it up...
From Pioneer Alley:

Androids were originally built to serve mankind in difficult and dangerous tasks. However, they have within this century reached intelligences high enough to claim citizenship into society and can work as free men. The Pioneer spacecrafts specifically have a high number of Android citizens due to the rough length of space travel, However, in order to attain citizenship, an Android must reside in a shell that clearly marks it as mechanical for ease of identification.
Androids are the most unique race as they have no Ki (otherwise known as TP) in which to channel techniques. This prevents them from healing themselves without spending a good deal in supplies. They also cannot boost their stats without a living organism's help. However, their shells give them several advantages. They are able to ignore most status effects and they can detect a trapmine a mile away.

Aha!

Androids have within this century reached intelligences high enough to claim citizenship into society. In order to attain citizenship, an Android must reside in a shell that clearly marks it as mechanical for ease of identification.

So I was right. ;)
The OPSS Incident (for those of you who have even bothered with PSOIII), though, does not sit well with me for several reasons. One, because of my ingrained love of the Android, and two, it speaks volumes about our own social situations here on Earth.
If we cannot treat our fellow human with that much respect (look at the whole gay marriage "debate" and the ongoings in the middle east for example), what does that say for any pseudo-lifeforms (AIs, genesplices) that may or may not come down the line?
As Sil'fer pondered, regarding the OPSS Incident, "Are we (Numans) next?"

SOme SPoilers abound: Read ad your own discretion
OPSS was done because humans needed more living space on Pioneer 2. The Government sanctioned the slaughter and destruction of thousands of Humanoids to make living space. Humanoids fought back but were no match for the military and it's advanced military weaponry. Also most humanoids were non combat oriented and stood no chance. Androids were renamed Humanoids as pressure from the populace, angry at the OPSS incident, wanted humanoids treated right. They are still SECOND CLASS CITIZENS, Just like the Newmans. The OPSS incident also scarred many of the humanoids you see in episode 3. Guykild, Ohgun, Reize, Lura, Stella, Saligun, and Hyze, and Teifu.
Stella was a worse case. She was a android not suited for combat and then ditched as being inferior. She was abused and mistreated and left for dead during the OPSS incident. Apparently her mistreatment leads to a issue and Glustar saved her and now loves her. Glustar leaks info to get money so he can live on Ragol with Stella and they want to make a school to teach people how to not repeat incidents like the OPSS.
Reiz was a doctor who worked on many humanoids during and after the OPSS incident. It has scarred her permanently with her refusing to remember. She is there for Ohgun and apparently Ohgun has feelings for her. She also comments on Ohgun's lack of memory and how he just stares at the birds, wishing he could enjoy nature without fighting. Reiz also has feelings for Ohgun, Since she fixed him after damage during the OPSS incident when he fought back.
Ohgun wonders why Reiz is the way she is and how she worked on so many androids that needed repair. He refuses to remember the OPSS incident and he seems to love her. He fought in the Opss incident and Reiz repaired him and now they are friends.
Guykild was so scarred, he refuses to think. Guykild carried out the OPSS orders and slaughtered his fellow humanoids. This shorted something in his mind and now he cannot speak except for OLD blips and sounds. He takes his anger out on his little camera-thingy friend and when his friend goes to leave, the light of life in Guykild's eyes gets extinguished and he looks sad. His camera buddy makes up with him and Guykild regains his happiness.
Lura is like Shino on episode 2. A non combat android modified for combat situations. Even her chest is modified leading to Relmitos being somewhat of a perv. Lura is also looking for a HEART unit for her body so she can be fully organic and love Break. That is her whole mission. And when she does SOMETHING with break, I can't say what, But it is evident they can do intimate things.
Saligun is a android built for combat. She is the head teacher at the Hunter Trainer Center, Now retired maybe. She trained Vivianna Graves and Memoru and seeks to fix their friendships. Saligun is a battle hardy Veteran and seems to dislike NON-IMPORTANT combat. The Opss incident shook her up and she was safe being a teacher and away. She tried to help humanoids escape but it was foiled.
Teifu is a cowardly android who works for Vivianna Graves. He was modified to serve Vivianna. He was hiding during the OPSS incident and is frequently abused by Vivianna. But he loves his master and will fight with her till the end. Apparently the OPSS incident terrified him and he's a coward now. He doesn't want to fight and wants to live in happiness.
Hyze is a singer, that is all. Loves to sing and people love him. I haven't seen any bad OPSS scars, But he wants to sing to make people forget fighting. Sounds like a Hippy to me.
SO it tells me that Androids, before the OPSS, were considered only good enough for domestic tasks. It took androids with a will to go down to Ragol and get caught up in fighting to make something of a life for themselves.

Regarding Beck Hyze: From what I've heard, his singing voice was pretty much destroyed during the combat retrofittings...
Regarding Stella and Glustar: I can't remember what the line was, but it seems to me that Glustar's running off and marrying Stella and living happily ever after would have been frowned upon by the PII government (banned, probably)...
Regarding Guykild: I think it's more of a conscious effort NOT to speak to organics, that he sees them as below himself, and therefore unworthy of him bothering to speak their tongue.

Thank you Onna! I knew I forgot some key parts. And more info for Reiz will come when I do her sidequest.
Anyways, Yes, Androids suffered harshly on Pioneer 2. I feel sorry for them.

I remember Ripp saying something to the effect that the Androids aboard PII had to be descended from Wren and Demi...
Personally, I don't think Wren would have stood for the wholesale slaughter of his "children" for an instant, would he?

Only now do I realize how much I'm actually missing out on. It seems to me that PSO Ep.3 adds SO many levels to the story of Coral...it sounds much more complex then PSO Ep.1 and 2. I want it even more now...
Do you have to go online to glean all this info out of the game? That's not an option for me, sadly, but I do want to get everything I can out of the story.
I am sorry. Those androids are in no way descended from Demi or Wren. When you look at the MINES monsters, they resemble the robots from PS 2 and 4. The monsters we see on the worldship in PS IV, Those robots woulda been on the other worldships and destroyed in the devatstation war. And the androids that most resemble the PSO ones are found in PS 1 and 2 anyways.
A Hucast is a upgraded Polezi you could say. Racast is a modified Sinew Beat. Etc etc..
A Racast bears no resemblance to wren, neither does a hucast. And according to episode 3, Androids were created to do menial tasks a long time ago. They weren't made for combat because of this episode 3 spoiler: The Hero side made hundreds of clones to fight a war a long time ago. Humans fought, Not androids. Relmitos also existed in that time when Androids were menial servants.
Mike Ripp is full of crap because most of his theories disregard new information and make no sense whatsoever when you put them together. And after his GReat Collapse story, what he did in it, I have no faith in him anymore.
P.S. According to the compendium, Worldships existed during the conjunction and the ones in PS III were LEFT OVER from those used. So do the math and I think Coralians are descended from PS 2 era palmans.

Do you have to go online to glean all this info out of the game? As of now, only two quests linking Episode I & II are to be gotten online... and they are downloadable. Then there's some other quests which may contain small bits or are just there to add some cards.

Coralians are Pre PS2 or PS 2 Palmans for 3 simple reasons: (Slight Ep 3 spoiler)
1) Data memory and Cloning. Before the Morgue attack, Kranz says he forgot to do his ID check. When he dies in it, and they clone him, he has no memory of the Morgue attack because he did not do his ID check.
2) Control Towers - There are 3 towers on Ga Da Val Island. The exact same formation as the 3 control towers in PS 2.
3) The machines in the mines are descendants of those machines on the worldships.
The conclusion is simple.

Well, I never said that I believed that theory, did I? ;)
As for Fuoren, I believe that he was a prototype, never put into general production. Note how even Shiren and Mieu still seem subservient to a degree to their Palman masters, while Fuoren would seem to have a shred of free will?
Furthermore, I don't think that he was the only one... think about it. Three planets (Palma, Motavia, Dezoris), three sattelites (Gaira, Zelan, Kuran). Wouldn't it stand to reason that there may have been three control Androids planned at one time?
Granted that this theory has no actual basis in "canon", so it requires a little hypothetical postulization. *dons the asbestos undies* Flame on! :P

Sounds plausible, but you forget that Gaira was a prison satellite, and that Kuran was designed to be of a supportive role to Zelan.

Speaking completely from canon, yes, in the end product, they were.
Were those their original purposes, though? Remember that the Daughter project had to have been started either close to or shortly after the end of PSII. Daughter was abandoned; her purpose being the same as Fuoren's turned out to be. I can just as easily see three control Androids, one overseer for each world, reporting back to the Daughter...
*shrug* It's not something that can be said yea or nay so easily, since no real framework can concretely prove or disprove this; it might, however, be a convenient place to squeeze a character or three in as per a fic. ;)

Yep.. and a chance to explain the origins of another certain character. One that has NO PAST explained, ZIO!
He has Eathmen armor, Magic powers(Of which no PALMAN has, it has to be passed genetically by espers.. He is the same fate as Lashiec and Rulakor..) He has a monsterized hand.. He destroyed the Motavians..
Also there is a parallel. Nei First and the Biomonsters, Zio and the Biomonsters.. The Biomonsters were part of the ressurection of the PD at the hands of the earthmen. So is Zio a Earthman who survived the final fight and slept?
It makes a nice point.

[Edit by Lord Khyron on [TIME]1084148471[/TIME]]
