Forget blue dragon not that note worthy, Eternal Sonata might be though. Mass Effect seriously looks like it deserves Game of the year, you know a game is freaking huge when the own lead developer of the game doesn't know EXACTLY how many worlds there are in the game O_OHalikus. wrote:We shall know by Christmas if the Wii will take this round of the console war. It faces tough competition from the X360s games this year. Thats not to say the the wii wont have some cracking games out by then it will for sure, Metroid, Mario Galaxy, Res Evil not to mention Super Smash Bros are all slated for pre xmas release.
Question is will it stand up to Halo3, Gotham4, Lost odyssey. Blue dragon, Mass Effect and GTA4. There are many more out for both consoles but the 360 looks to have nest lineup this year.
PS3 well the less said about that the better. Where are the games......
Oh I own a 360 and will get a wii too for xmas.

Peegai wrote:I hope Nintendo gets the monopoly it deserves out of this console. The XBox 360 and PS3 are both too expensive and they offer nothing new to the games industry.

but I think the PS3 is pretty damned nifty also. Too many people are crying foul over the price without understanding what exactly the console is
The Wii is, for all intents and purposes, an overclocked Gamecube
whereas the PS3 is a technical powerhouse that (like every console) is still being unlocked by developers

You could say the same for the other consoles. The XBox 360 is an upgraded XBox, and the PS3 is an upgraded PS2. But the Wii has motion sensing controls as well, and the PS3 some cheap knock-off of it.
Isn't that the same with the XBox 360?
It's worth noting that you didn't offer a single point on why the XBox 360 and PS3 do offer something new. So the PS3 is a powerhouse. So was every next-generation console compared to the previous-generation ones.

Tsu wrote:As for the PS3, I can understand that it's powerful and whatnot. However, I've read that it was buggy and had problems. If you ask me, I'd rather have something that I know will work, rather than something that's faulty and has a good chance of having something wrong with it.
Halikus. wrote:From what iv heard the PS3 is an absolute pig to code for. Sonys emotion engine is apparently still terrible even after how much stick they got for the ps2 version.

PSP wrote:Really? Find the article, because I've had no errors and apparently the failure rate is being reported as less than 1% on launch machines up to current. Not being defensive, it's just I'd rather have supporting evidence than condemn something without reason.
