I'm curious about everyone's view on this subject.

I think about the presents... which I won't get until January. So, probably Jesus' birthday.

I think that the most important part of Chirstmas is spending time with your friends and family. And Chirstmas existed before Jesus was born so many non-religious people such as myself still celebrate it. Yep, there's nothing better than a good ol' get-to-together with everyone!

It's a common misconception. Most people think that the holiday Chirstmas was made because Jesus Chirst was born then. When infact, Jesus was born on Chirstmas day. Old Chirstmas (before Chirst) was just a day off to spend with family and friends since many people worked very hard in the old days and had very few days off. Now-a-days, Chirstmas is celebrated mostly because of Chirst's birth but other still see it more of as a family and friends day. I still mostly see it that way.

Also, There is no mention of the actual day or month of Jesus's b-day. It was just Christianities trying to convert other religions since they share holidays.

Some people intentional do that. Not sure if that is the case for this person.

A day off from work, also traveling vast distance to see family or they will bug you about it.

Yeah, nobody knows the actual date(Or if there was one, for that matter).

The date that became Christmas was, like many church holidays, originally a pagan holiday, which got adopted for Christmas since it was easier to get converts that way - Hey, come to our side, our God is the right one, and you can even keep your old holidays! Many non-church related traditions still retain something of the old Pagan festivities, actually.

Anyway, since I'm not religious and don't have close ties to my family and worked retail over the holidays last year, Christmas is that time of the year when I want to shoot every other person and every radio I come across.

For me it has always been just the time of year that I receive gifts, aside from my birthday, of course, and also chocolate and candy canes -- good ole mint are my favourite, though we have these cherry ones that aren't bad either -- and also get to admire the decorated pine trees. That's it, to be honest.

I do love the trees, though; the other day I was thinking that if I was living on my own I wouldn't bother with all the holiday stuff (not that I do now; it's family that does, and I just happen to be there), but I might have a tree with lights and other things up even when it's not Christmas just because I find them aesthetically pleasing.

Not religious, so that's not a reason for me. Although I have heard/read that Jesus was likely to have been born in the spring, around April time...

Anyways, Christmas for me is basically a bit of time off. A time where I can sit around in my pj's all day, and read/write/play video games/watch tv/watch a dvd/whatever I feel like doing. Wait... I did that yesterday.

Uhm, I also love Christmas dinner, and the presents are nice but it's just a nice break for me. Nothing special.
