I enjoy the concept of Wii but never tried it to be honeest.
But Virtual Console is the way to go for oldschool gamers.
It came state side. Started out good, but lacked third party games due to Nintendo. Kind of ironic now with TG16 on Wii.LaconianShot wrote:Benoit, I have downloaded Genesis games on VC and have never run into problems with the emulator. As for buying games you already own, you don't have to buy anything you don't want to buy. There's a huge selection, and I'm willing to bet that you haven't played all of them (especially since we're getting imports as well as TG-16 stuff even though the TG-16 never left Japan). I don't know, I don't think it's anything but a good idea for oldschool gamers.
Playing Shining Force on a computer, with the arrow keys and whatnot, is nothing compared the experience offered by the console... it could just be me, but I like playing with the controller in my hands.
Besides, online I have to wade through adds and voting and porn to get the ROM I want, and even then it is of dubious quality in most cases.
Any good rom sites dont have ya vote or force ads you to click or view many ads. If you have a pop-up blocker, all yo see are banner ads. Especially porn ads.BenoitRen wrote:Couple nitpicks:Playing Shining Force on a computer, with the arrow keys and whatnot, is nothing compared the experience offered by the console... it could just be me, but I like playing with the controller in my hands.
Who says you can't with the PC? I know I use a controller to play games.Besides, online I have to wade through adds and voting and porn to get the ROM I want, and even then it is of dubious quality in most cases.
...Huh? You're going to the wrong places. There are only a couple ROM sites, and they're mostly free of that crap.
