PS1 Challenge Mode

Level 1: Nobody can use their best equipment.

Alis: Light Saber/Laser Shield/Zirconian Armor
Myau: Iron Fang/(Nothing)/(Nothing)
Odin: Light Saber or Heat Gun/Laser Shield/Diamond Armor
Noah: Short Sword/White Mantle/(Nothing)

Level 2: Level 1 AND the Flute, Exit spell, TRANSERs, and the Fly spell are off limits.

Level 3: Level 2 AND all curative magic is off limits. Burgers/Colas only.

Level 4: Rather than the handicap in Level 1, everyone can only use their worst equipment. Levels 2 and 3 also apply.

Alis: Short Sword/Leather Shield/Leather Armor
Myau: Iron Fang/Thick Fur/Gloves
Odin: Woodcane/Leather Shield/Leather Armor
Noah: Woodcane/Laser Shield/White Mantle

I actually tried to battle enemies with just the short sword. After a while of trying it though, it became a war of attrition and not fun at all. After getting and using the Iron Sword, the game became fun again. I can only guess that with a Level 4 challenge would be near impossible since at best you'd be dealing as much damage as the enemies, with the enemy damage growing more as the game progresses.

There would probably be a lot of grinding involved, and a lot of using the Wand to escape from battle.
