Didn't work out too well for the folks over at Shining Force Central, haha.

SEGA don't see to care too much about their western audience as a whole; let alone a small group of fans of a long-dead RPG series.

They put together a pack of hundreds of thank you letters, videos, fan-hacked Shining Force tribute videos, photos of fan collections and various other stuff then sent it to SEGA with the intention of sparking interest in the creation of a 'real' Shining Force sequel (ie. in a turn-based strategy game format). I think the project was called S.O.S (Save Our Shining). They were just ignored and as I remember the ringleader was publically insulted over the pack on social media.

Not long afterwards, (perhaps coincidentally) SEGA cracked down on Shining Force fan videos for "copyright reasons" and ripped down a lot of videos that had been on Youtube for years including, perhaps most famously, TotalBiscuit's Shining Force 3 Let's Play videos.

Oh, man, that situation... Somehow, I was kinda suspicious that could be related to what you were talking about...
Indeed, it seems for the last few years those idiots have been forsaking us, despite still appearing in western events.

By the way, has any of those videos been rescued from SEGA's "evil" campaign? It's a waste if none has been saved...

That sounds messed up, I have never heard about Sega doing that.

Does anyone know who's the artist of both games? I like the artstyle and want to see if there are other works of his.

Can anyone from the translation team post 5 screenshots of the game. These will be used as a preview on the download page. Please choose good ones :)

I'm thinking that we slowly prepare the download page with content until the translation is ready for public release.

I don't know what Sega was thinking when they fired the team responsible for Generations 1 and 2. These games look gorgeous. Can you imagine what PSIII and PSIV would have looked like had there been Generations 3 and 4?

The font for this translation and for the PSG:1 update look so professional. You guys have really outdone yourselves.

There were only plans for a remake of PS4, making it a Remake Trilogy of sorts back then...

It does really look great. Tryphon, not trying to stir anything up or request or suggest anything, but I thought that PS gen:2 was going to have the subtitle The End of an Era? Did you guys decide to drop that?
