That graphic was edited to reflect the naming conventions used in the rest of the game. The graph of energy consumption in the library after you get the system recorder was translated in English. If these do not show up as intended please let me know here.

It seems like I've talked to every NPC in Zema, am I looking in the wrong place or what? Some help would be appreciated. You guys have done great work, this game is a LOT of fun so far!

I wish I could help.. I am at the same spot... stuck. I cannot get the Polymetryl or the Scooter. Have you done the missions for Enos and his grand-daughter yet? and received the Motavian Ring?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spelling errors on the Caves items page I've noticed so far...

corrections:
ENOS
POLYMETRYL

Yes, I actually missed an NPC, so now I have the ring. I'm assuming the guy you have to talk to is the Motavian at the bottom of the Roron Dump? I'm about to run the dungeon and see.

For people who are stuck, there is a pretty good walkthrough for the game on "A Gazeta de Algol" : http://www.gazetadealgol.com.br/jogos/p ... 2_guia_000

The website is in portugese but just use google translation, it's enough to understand the explanations (that's what I used for a few things during my first playthrough).

About the portraits display in-game, they are rares but there are some. The little kid in the top-right corner of Paseo for example. When you talk to it, Nei will answer him and Nei's portrait will be display with her answer. Basically, I think it's only used on PSGEN 2 when a character different than Eusis answer to a NPC (it happen a few times when Nei or other playable characters answer to someone), so it's just to show who is talking.

Sometimes it even happen with Eusis. When you go into his house, his portrait is displayed if I remember correctly.

Land wrote:like i said, if he has the audio engine set to sound synchronizing mode is set to time stretch, not "none" and he should be good to go.

sounds so weird seeing the clone lab say, "they" instead of "he/she" which i imagine wouldn't really be possible, but even "That Person" would sound better than "They" lol.
also, wtf does the "Pipes" setting do? both on and off, i notice no difference.

personally only 2 complaints so far about the game in general (nothing the team could/did wrong)
no dash button like in 1.
text omg it moves so slow even on the fast settings ((

It's worst on a real PS2 (except if your remark is pointed to a real PS2). The emulator run the game at 60 fps when a real PS2 run the game at 30fps, so the game is half slower on a real PS2 ;)

But you can hold R1 to display texts box per box instead of letter per letter. ;)

(I put this sentence bigger than the others to let all people see it more easily).

I thought it would've been, considering how good you guys have been with editing graphics elsewhere. :)

Can anyone tell me what Amia's special skill is called? It shares a name with a collabo spell in PS gen:1.

Hi there, is anyone having problems with the game crashing? I'm playing it on a soft-modded PS2. It sometimes crashes after a battle, first screen (with rank letter etc) comes up, and then when it continues to the second screen where the character's XP is given out, it crashes. It just says "individual's experience", with no other information (text boxes for each character). The text on the screen also looks a bit odd - like not smooth. The victory theme music just plays forever with the screen stuck like that.

Yes. I have been having the same problem but just figured it was something wrong on my end. Internal HDD with OPL running it on a fatty PS2. I have been using the visiphone to save often. Dunno if this will help but try not using the AUTO feature as it only seems to happen to me when I do.

---------------------------------------

Also, prolly nobody heres fault but while in the armor shop (the knife boots in Kueris) it will show amia and nei as available to use them but amia cannot. If you buy them it will also show up in her inventory and change her stats blue indicating better gear if you highlight them but she cannot use. ugh. lol. the long boots are still 19 points worth of stat increase although different portions to different attributes.

How do you play the game? From a burnt CD ? A burnt DVD ? Other ?

Also, this is important so i let it in big red chars :

If you encounter a real bug (especially game crashing), please find a way to reproduce it, and include a copy of your memcard, with instructions about how to get to the bug.

For mispellings or typos (such as the "he was was"), a screenshot or a copy of the bad text should be sufficient.

Wow, I did not know that. Does the music go twice faster on emu too?

I don't understand why they did that, the PS2 is overkill for such an engine. They could have at least let the player decide the walking speed.

Now my crappy little PC which can't make the game run faster than 25 fps feels relieved :)

Not sure if the music is faster, but theorically, it should be faster on PCSX2 (people who want the original game speed should lock PCSX). Maybe they have an algorythm to not have it twice as fast (like PC Games, you can either run them at 30 or 60fps and music still have the same speed).

But I remember the first time I tried the french translation on a real PS2, I found the game pretty slower than the emulator (but I really saw it mainly during battles so maybe only battle are capped to 30fps? It would be interesting to check).

Maybe I'm wrong, I never tried to confirm it was really running at 30fps or not, but I got the impression it was. If someone can confirm or deny it, would be nice know.

(And it wouldn't the first game. For example, Yakuza games on PS2 run at 30fps when PCSX2 runs them at 60fps).

But I played this game so much with unlocked framerate (F4 in PCSX2) which make the game runs at like 200 FPS that my perception for this game is maybe completely flawed  You made me doubt, in fact

Unfortunately, some other peoples using a PS2 with a modchip also reported this. Maybe it come from an incompatibility of the game with the modchips (as the few people who reported crashs all have a modchip on their PS2).

Try using FreeMCBoot? It's a thing which doesn't require any modchip to play burned games. I used one program included in it (uLauncher) to play the whole game from an USB Key and never got any crashs.

I know I promised not to be nitpicky again but I can't hold it...
If there was that graphic in-game with the planets' names properly spelled out for us, why use the other ones?

Because it's not because it's written in a way that it mean it's the right thing. But if you mean Kyence forgot to modify the graphic according to her choice in the texts, then yeah, it's an error.

Do you remember Krilin in Dragon Ball ? His name is written differently, depending of the chapters.

Here's an example (both come from the original manga, so from the original author) :

Image

If after that, you still trust japanese to transcribe names correctly, I can't do anything (and it's just one example, I could find a lot of them in animes, in manga, in video games, etc...). And it's not really their fault, japanese does not make differences between "L" and "R" and "B" and "V", which explains why they near never know which one to use.

I think I saw "Alicer" somwhere in a official artwork/documentation from the main character of PS1 so...

They also have the bad habit to butcher french words.

Like I said before, we are not here to discuss Kyence choices. Like any translations, the choices are the translator ones and people should deal with it.

Honestly, we hadn't got a single person who complained about the french version names (still, french version use Dark Force's name so...), so I'm really shocked to see people complaining about names in the english version. This might seem a bit rude but Kyence was already quite busy and still managed to finish the translation, let's just not make her waste her time which such things. From now on, all questions about names will be simply ignored, they have already been debated a while ago, it's too late to redebate them now the translation is over.
