Hmmm, you may be right Sandy...
My thought process was it was a substitute noun for Earth, and being used as a possessive, so it would require an apostrophe.
Earth's descendants was implied, but it was stated as "its last descendants".
I won't argue of course, as I did understand everything you said, and you're probably correct.

However, I stand fast on the missing word "be" and the planet being "blue", not the Milky Way... lmao ;) :D

Yeah, changing it to "It's last descendants" would make it "It is last descendants" or "It was last descendants," therefore introducing a typo. :)

Are there any official explanations or theories for PS2/PSg:2 having way less Bosses and only two planets to explore in comparison to PS1/PSg:1?

This is pretty easy to glean off of the dev interviews going way back. Phantasy Star II was made in around 6 months, and needed to release as close as possible to the launch date of the Mega Drive. The plans for the game were drastically changed from the original design as a result of going to the new (Mega Drive) platform. The game was rushed and the content stretched, which is why it was so ridiculously grindy even for its time. Having less planets to deal with and smaller maps were necessary for the game to be able to ship in the timeframe Sega needed it in. Here's a nice short interview which should give some perspective, and how Phantasy Star II might have been if the plans hadn't been changed and/or if it had stayed on the SMS:

As I suspected... Development hell... Not surprised... That may be one of the reasons why I like PS2 less than PS1&4.

But, for PSg:2, couldn't they have thought of taking that chance to add some extra candies to make the game feel even more "complete"?
Like, a chance to check Parma before having been blasted to smithereens? Among other possible stuff...

Definitely would have loved that for PSG:2, but I get the feeling that that product was rushed as well, and was perhaps nearly cancelled like the ill-fated PSG:4. If you notice there were substantial improvements and embellishments that were put into PSG:1; combination spells, mapping item, tons of additional story and dialogue points, the addition of character attack animation that wasn't even in the original, and additional art and things you could do in the ending that were not in the original. PSG:2 didn't have nearly that level of improvement, and actually LOST things like attack effect colors. The additions that were there like the 3-level attack and parry system and item creation required almost no new systems or art, leading me to believe they had less time and resources to work on it. I am grateful for the expanded dialogue at the very least, its too bad about that ending though, it added nothing. :(

And let us not forget the gruesome process to get Nei cloned back into the party after Neifirst...
Yep, I can only guess PSg:2 didn't get the chance to have as much love as PSg:1 in the making :?

I'm not sure what license this translation was distributed under. Would appreciate a clarification. Aka Creative Commons, GPL, something custom, etc.

I would appreciate if any member of the translation team can get in touch with Kyence to make a clarification on the translation license (the patch license) and distribution/modification/etc terms of use.
Adding this to the first post (along with a download link) would help as well.

In addition, perhaps ask the PSCave admins to add this information to their download page too.

I would recommend using the BPS format rather than xdelta in order to future-proof the patch a bit more and to minimize the size of the patch and the (slim) possibility of having original-copyright-content within the patch itself. The Floating IPS utility by Alcaro is handy and does both IPS and BPS formats without issues.

EDIT: Seems that it was Hiei and they are someone who was involved in the actual translation itself and posted it over at RHDN. Disregard the PSA but feel free to keep an eye out just in case.

Sorry, can you explain better what's going on?
What's that about licenses? :?

The PS generation:2 translation got uploaded to ROMhacking.net and darkwraith007 thought someone uploaded it without the translation team's consent. Turns out Blaw- (Hiei-) is the one who submitted it.

http://www.bwass.org/bucket/FinalPSg1.zip Here's a Memory Card. Should be a PSg:1 clear file. Enjoy and good luck.

Yes, I posted it on Romhacking.net as no one posted it yet.

There's no licence for the translation. As most translations, it can be freely released anywhere by anybody.

About the patch, Xdelta was used because it's supported on many OS (Windows, Linux, MacOS).

IPS (the original format, at least) wasn't useful because it just compare byte per byte and so, if a big part of bytes is still in the ISO but moved at another place, it won't understand it and will treat them as new data which make the patch a lot bigger. It's not like the patch is pretty big anyway, ~1M, it would even fit on an old floppy disc ;) (I saw some Snes/PS1 patch bigger than that).

Congrats on completing the translation. Thru thick and thin, the holy trio reached the goal line.

Yet, the one thing that everyone is asking for regarding the remake has yet to be posted.

You mean if the process to have Nei cloned back to life after Neifrist is as currently known or if it's simpler than it seems?

Just out of curiosity, is there going to be an option to download the translation with the english names like the one for Lutz?
