What's up with Alys? Any theories?

Little is known about her origins. She knew Rune at one time, she took in Chaz as her (take your pick) son or younger brother, she's famous around Motavia, as evidenced by Grandfather Dorin's intimate knowledge of her. Her age is listed as ??, shared only with Rune (even Seth had the given age of 39).

The part that gets my attention is the fact that her picture popped up as one of the protectors when Chaz was getting the Elsydeon. Why? She never fought Dark Force, just one of his minions, Zio. Gryz, Hahn, and Demi weren't shown.

I don't have a theory, but I'd love to hear yours. Did she possibly have some sort of a connection to a past character?

I thought of a hypothetical possibility that *could* have some merit: Alys is Kara.

Her personality more closely mirrors that of Warrior Kara, though Princess Kara would be the one who could hypothetically end up in Algo. She certainly knew about the technology to be indefinitely cryogenically frozen. It would explain her mysterious backstory (if she said she was born on a spaceship, was cryogenically frozen, woke up and fought Dark Force, went through a time warp, ended up on Earth, went into hiding and cryogenic sleep a second time, then somehow ended up on Motavia and went into cryogenic sleep for a third time before waking up, dying her hair, and taking on an alias...who the hell would believe her)?

There's some info about her on the PS compedium, that her parents were killed by bandits and was taken in by a hunter named Galf (zero mention of him in the game), and that they found Rune eventually, and the three wandered the desert for sometime, and then Galf died, Rune left, and then she met Chaz and all that stuff.

I always used to think Alys would be brought back to life at some point in the game.

On a side note, I used to think Alys was a male. Don't ask. I also used to think Rune was female. I didn't pay attention to a lot of stuff XD

Rune probably heard of a great hunter named Alys. Id say he was curious.

She is hot...How her measurements got out though is anyone's guess.
