What I did was use the Neisword to get back to Dezo, and then used Ryuka to teleport to a town. I saved my game, and resetted (or just went back to title screen, I don't remember). The game worked fine after that.

Does it just happen to random saves, or does Nei killing Neifirst activate it? Thanks, I'll have to try that. <br>

As for what 'activates' it, who knows. But fortunately it only happens once, and then everything is fine. No more freezes after that.

I was talking mainly about the two final fights with DF and MB. I was saying that Hugh, Kain, and Shir are less useful in those battles than is Amy. However, you right that, for fighting on Noah all three have advantages over Amy and if utilized correctly are very good party members. Kain's techs cost next to nothing, Shir has pretty good defense power (compared to Amy) and has techs as a nice sidekick, and Savol is admittedly nice indeed to get those pesky dragons out of the way. But I did this crazy thing once and got everyone on a ridiculously high level to see how they all fought together against DF and MB. I found it was most effective with the classic Rolf, Rudo, Anna, Amy combo. Against DF and MB Hugh might as well be cannon fodder, Kain is so-so and Shir is all right.

Okay. Thank-you for clarifying. <p>I'm glad someone agrees with me that Hugh is cannon fodder for the final fights. It's always nice to talk strategy with someone. <p>As an interesting point, when I first used Hugh and discovered the Vol technique: I thought it just did an insane amount of damage, the drawback being it has an iffy hit rate and it can only be used on Biomonsters. Instead, I later found it was a one-hit kill technique.

The best thing she got is Nafoi... She has more TP than Rika, but very little Techs. to use it on which is a real shame. If mine wasn't 10 levels behind Rika she'd have superior stats. (minus attack, Techs., and Skills).

When I got Hugh, I tried using him once when leveling up, and then I immediately hated him. I even hated him when I played through the game with hacked savestates, vol never works and the robots pwn him. Never use that little asshole.

I loved Hugh, but stopped using him as soon as I'd killed Neifirst.

I'd subsitute Anna for Amy, until I got to Dezolis, when I changed Kain for Amy until Noah.<p>NaGaj on DF and MB!

You didn't like Kain? He is incredibly useful in the dams and on Dezo with his techs. Was it his hair style maybe?

I...see. Well, it's too bad that you didn't utilize Kain's techs since they're dirt cheap and hit the robots hard. And use those techs! the zan family! the foi family! Rolf has all that TP for good reason!<p>You never know, you might like it.
