Complaints?

Postby Siren » Thu Mar 11, 2004 11:27 pm

This post is dedicated to complaints of PSO. <p>I enjoy PSO, but even the greatest games have flaws, and I want to here your qualms with the game. <p>Mine? I don't consider it a problem, but an aspect of the game that could have been improved by some effort on Sega's part. The customization. With the make of Ep 1&2, they could have made a bigger customization engine. Instead of having a base costume and a dozen of variants, they could have made a bunch of exclusive costumes for each class that come in all shapes and sizes!<p>Now...your turn. :p

To me, the game itself doesn't really have flaws...<br>It's the bugs and the online support that needs some work. Dupers everywhere...<br>Oh, and I want them to get rid of the double save permanently. At the moment, it appears sometimes still.

Hmmm...I would have to say...more online support (in other words, people stopping cheating) and more customization (like Siren said). I also would like to see more NPCs...<p>Also, it sucks that you have to pay for online play after already buying the game and a modem adapter...but at present the cost is moderately cheap...still though...

If dial-up was free, I would have PSO Ver.2 free to play online on my Dreamcast. :(

Heh, at least you guys can offord to go online. I only play PSO offline. :(<p>If I have a complant towards PSO, it would have to go towards Episode 2 over the lack of offline Quests.

Still, it does make sense that there were no quests. Gal Da Val Island's existence is stricly confidential.<p>The quests are online, actually.

I am going to agree with Laconian about the online fee. In canada thats a wopping estimation of about $110 plus internet fee. Thats just too much for one game, also towards nintendos lack of online games (which i think is why xbox and ps2 are doing better that the gamecube). Making the levels max at 200 was just a strange idea, i like the fact that they go that high, its just for me to level my hunter (level is below) i would have to do the ultimate caves 5 times or the ultimate ruins 3 1/2 times. Thats one goal i think wont happen. For having this ammount of expirience needed, there should have been another difficulty, even if you could only access it online or somthing. Or download it because it couldn't fit on the game.

But only four for Ep2: the Towers, Seat of the Heart and Reach for the Dream...oh well there is the new one, but only in Japanese at the moment.<p>My complaints:<p>1. Costumes have very little differences. HUnes are too sexy, some RAmarl and HUmar costumes are ridiculous. FOnewms are all ridiculous...Human Forces costumes vary only in colors.<p>2. Ultimate Mine has horrible colors. Sometimes you don't recognise robots lasers from the backgrounds.<p>3. Sometimes a guide is necessary to fully understand a quest.<p>4. Some rare items are available with quests and others are not: for instance, you could get the Jack-O-Lantern both with a quest and from a Hallo Rappy; but NO quest to obtain the Christmas Present!!! Some players never found one...that can increase duping.<p>5. Too many networks problems.<p>[Edit by SheWren on [TIME]1079200095[/TIME]]

You still have to pay the same price with the XBox, though you do have more online games. Don't know about PS2, but it was already doing better without its online capabilities.<br>Conclusion: online capabilities only has a small effect on sales.<br>And PSO online is worth the one-time extra price. It's almost like buying a new game in itself.

No Butoden , theres Challenge Mode offline, but it's multiplayer (how else). I don't know about online... but in offline Challenge mode, you have to do it all in one run, theres no saving.

PSo is really an addictiv game with over all a super great design but I will complain on the fact that there isn't enought to explore...<br>I wish I could have discovered new cities, new inhabitants, new world (since I can't play online, I feel sometimes a bit lonely..)<br>Then I'd like The level 200 to be more easy to reach... Actualy I am level 160 with 3 of my characters and I wish I could end this game, it's definitly too much addictive...

I know this may be a little off topic but apparently theres going to be a video game similar to something like that. Lockheed martin is currently developing a new online game that can house thousands per server with many many many new worlds after you finish the first 3. Theres actually no limit to how many people can be on a server. Atleast SOME people thought of the idea %)
