Introduction
The World of Phantasy Star is a book detailing the development process of Phantasy Star and Phantasy Star II, with developer interviews and some artwork. It also pays attention to the evolution between Phantasy Star, Phantasy Star II and Phantasy Star IV.
Phantasy Star III is also mentioned, but only in passing. This is because the book was released in the same months as Phantasy Star IV, and was meant to promote the latest game. This is also the reason why you don't find much material about Phantasy Star IV in the book.
