Alisa and Myau have "incomplete full-body" arts, like Tyrone and Lutz. Then again, Nak's webpages have some pics that are on the same level than PSGEN1's ones.

No, I don't think there's anything else in the ressources files. Double packed arts are very small pics. I tried to extract almost all ressources I could, even those I don't use in the translation (such as maps or monsters animation). But you're free to try :)

What? There are "incomplete full-body" arts of Alisa and Myau? Where? I don't think I've ever seen them...
Besides, I don't know the first thing about hacking or ripping stuff...

EDIT: I've sent an email to Orakio about the possible stuff that could be yet to be unraveled to the world.

EDIT2: Those arts by Nak are of the classic style! I've been searching the official modern style artworks.

EDIT3: SandyLandale, are you gonna make a more faithful translation of the script or keep Kyence's?
I just went through the past posts here and noticed that her translation had to get some good changes...

I think you should search a little more... Sandy already said several times he wouldn't retranslate the game but fix Kyence's.

As for Alisa and Myau's arts, they are just next Tyrone and Lutz' (in MAP.DAT, files 0010 and 0011). No need to hack, just check Orakio's website.

I see. Anyway, I'll be here to see how it'll look like when it gets released.

So, since Sandy is gonna make some fixes, does it mean that something may have gotten lost during translation?
Due to Kyence needing to have the text fit the space used by the original text, as far as I can remember... :?

Somehow, I suspected you would point to those... And I have them, as a compensation of sorts...
But I was talking about those present in the D3TEX file (files 013, 019 and 031), if there were any of Alisa and Myau like that.
I tried to use Texmod to see if I could get something but it only loads the essencial files for each portion of the game...

Not much to update. We got the Iron Claw. I've been updating the grammar of the script to match PS gen:2. I'm just about to do another pass of the script before testing some more. One big thing is that spells will have icons in front of their names now!

Hi there. Just completed a playthrough of the current version of PSG:2 and went back to look around PSG:1 (which I liked a lot better as a game) and wanted to say I'm really looking forward to this upgraded translation of PSG:1, and would be down with going thru it again.

I noticed that I have about 180 or so PCSX2 state save files for PSG:1 that were backed up during the entirety of my playthrough. Saw something about this mentioned before in this thread and wasn't sure if it was taken care of; assuming having such a thing would still be helpful to you in the debugging of it at this stage.

Thanks for your efforts, and looking forward to hearing of progress!

I'm honestly not too sure if save states will be helpful. I don't know much about it, but a lot of the code has changed, I think. The variable width font routine, and the font has been shifted around, new graphics for menus, etc. Memory Cards would have been more helpful, but I appreciate the thought anyway. :)

I confirm : memory cards are compatible between versions, but not savestates.

Yeah, MemCards are OK but SaveStates aren't. I know that because I have at least 3 versions of PCSX2 and such thing happens to me.

Anyway, is it possible for a total amateur at unpacking game files like me to manage to do so?
If yes, what tools do I need? What can you advise me in doing so? Since there doesn't seem to be anyone eager to try to dig deeper...

You can unpack the files using either CUE's tools (they may be available at rhdn) or the descompressador tool written by RodolfoRG, available on gazetadealgol.

Then, you'll have to figure out the file formats. CUE's tools allow to convert SGGG files (graphics) to BMP, but you'll end with the exact same files than those on gazetadealgol. If you're looking for other graphics files, they must be in another format you'll have to figure out alone.

I think it's really not worth your time (very few chances there's something not already found, and if so, you'll need quite good coding skills to figure out the format : if it was simple, CUE would have found it) (CUE is strong) (really).

Damn... As expected. It's just... I wanna believe there may be, somewhere in those files yet to unravel, some hidden treasures I'd love to get my eyes on...
Maybe even those artworks I'm so much looking for...
I remember I had to search for Dark Falz's and Gold Dragon's sprite pieces myself, using Texmod, so it may corroborate the theory that not all images may have been unraveled.
Me not having coding skills and nobody else seeming to have interest in trying to dig deeper really saddens me... :(

To us savestates with other versions of the game, you can still load a savestate then save with the in-game save function, then reboot the game :) (which will clear the memory).

About savestates/memory card... If there's a particular spot or scenario in the game that would be helpful to have a save file for, let me know and I'll see if I can re-save that point in the game to a memory card, if I have one near that point, though it won't be as convenient / standing right in front of boss/ event rooms etc.

Well, Tryphon, I actually tried my luck with the "PSG-CUE" I, out of nowhere, found out here in the forum...
I managed to unpack the D3TEX.DAT into ~40 .LZR files, then decoded a good number of them (from mid-20s they seemed to have nothing) and extracted them, each having 30 or more .RAW files.
When I opened them in Adobe Photoshop (which I barely remembered I had installed), I only got black and white images of dungeons' walls, stairs and doors. And some of them seemed to have no image...
May I have done something wrong?

These raw files are probably not photoshop .raw files. It's not even sure they are all graphic files. And if they are, you have to figure out the format. For those having b&w pictures, chances are they are paletted graphics, in which case the palette data may be somewhere in the file, or in another file.
