Nah, you're not the only one.
I have never, in any shape or form, had even the tiniest INTEREST or CURIOSITY in using them. ::Shrugs:: Go figure o_O
Not to mention, the people that I know that do use them are some of the biggest idiots on the planet. There is probably some form of correllation there. XD

Let's put it this way, despite Malakai and Tails doing the topic justice.
Marijuana is addictive. If someone said it was not, they would be liars. It is not healthy, conveniant or efficient to be addicted to any substance, because it hampers your abilities and becomes a neccessity. For example, my parents need to drink 1-3 cup(s) of coffee in the morning to get going--it's a neccessity. While coffee is not harmfu to great extentl, it is never healthy to rely on any substance, because there is always a chance that you will need to go without.
In marijuana's case, it is harmful, so add that to the list of reasons not to use it. I think drugs are the epitome of waste, considering the negative effects to your mind, body and quality of life.

I agree with about everyone who has posted a reply on this. Pot is dangerous, and from what you've told us so far, you really do need to have a very serious conversation with your boyfriend. If anything gets worse, you may want to consider leaving him.
People have been found in possession in my school. I do not want to end up like those people. Very bad.

[Edit by Wolf 10 on [TIME]1111717217[/TIME]]

Shell, I know it's hard when you already have 4 years with this person...
Yes, being optimistic and looking at the bright picture, *playing "Happy-Happy Joy-Joy in the background* you could use the ultimatum that if he loves you, he'll quit... and being even more optimistic he'd comply for good...
*stops music*
Ok, done with the Care Bears. The facts....
He who tries something once tries it twice...this is the THIRD time he does this to himself, and to you. Might as well do it a fourth, or fifth. HE...HAS...AN ADDICTION PROBLEM.
Yes, marijuana is not the most terrible drug ever, but it's a start, how long before he tries something stronger? You already know his friends, you already know he falls easily. You have already tried to knock sense into him two times, chances are you won't be much sucessful either on the third. How long until his "buddies" introduce him to some actually dangerous people? What if this happens when you two are already married with kids? Do you want to have to hide your kids the problems he'd get you all into?. HIS BUDDIES... ARE... A BAD INFLUENCE
Sadly, or fortunately, I can't really say I understand how you feel as, God be blessed, I haven't had that kind of problems. And so...
* I won't tell you to dump him as not only it's easier said than done, especially with someone you have shared a respectable amount of the best years of your life, but because I'm sure that, deep inside that moronic, pothead of his, he still loves you, and perhaps he still deserves a last chance if this time he really tries.
* I won't tell you to try to talk some sense into him again, because just talking won't be much help at this point. If this is the third time already he might as well have a REAL problem, the kind that requires of proffesional help.
* I won't tell you to use the "if you love me, and yourself, you'll quit on that", as in the state he is now, such would only get him on the "why oh why can't she understand my POV" deffensive and make him close himself from you, cutting your chances to help him.
* And certainly I won't tell you to leave him to his pot and trust his "friends" not to try and screw him over... being a Murphy's Lawyer myself, I know better than to stay around something that MAY harm me, because if it CAN harm me, it WILL.
all I ask from you is to analyse it all carefully, and ask yourself whether you want THAT man to be the one who will father your children. If he is, then get the big guns and proffesional help while there's still hope for him, and for you two... for as I see him, professional help is the only way out now.

[Edit by ROMeo on [TIME]1111718450[/TIME]]

Thank you everyone for your support.
I told my boyfriend we need to have a serious talk about this when he get's back from his friend's house tomorrow. He was very defensive, and he's kinda mad at me (okay, really mad at me) for making this an issue, but we'll see how it goes.
And, again, thanks to everyone.

I say that smoking pot is not as bad as they try to make it look. But it isn´t good either. I don´t recomend it in any level, but I can´t prevent you from being curious or even liking its effect.
But before trying it, one must be aware that it does increase the chances of throat cancer, it slows down you brain and the THC (the active substance in marijuana) stays in your organism for a month or so after you last smoked it. Marijuana doesn´t make you more intelligent, funny, cooler, unless you are already like that without it (if you are fullashit, you will still be fullashit, maybe worst). People who smoke pot are not necessarily bad people, but there are bad people who smoke pot. Most of my friends do, and they are still the best people I ever got around to (and I don´t, so I can´t be saying it to deffend them).
I must also note that, as an illegal drug, to get your hands on a ounce of pot, the drug must have been brought illegally from somewhere. It required armed men, and frequently some deaths. Drug dealers are criminals, and most times not only because they deal with drugs, but because of other crimes they had to do to sell the drug for you. Because of that, drugs are also considered a social problem, as it does more bad to a society than just the effect of the smoke in your brain. Think of it before lighting it up.

Mm, that's the way it looks isn't it... That's too bad, I'm sorry Shell.
Although, I don't understand why people get worked up about being concerned about someone's health, and ultimately their own. That's kinda selfish.
