Go go gadget reading comprehension!
Jump to conclusions much? Feel free to show me the part of my post that stated that every parent pays attention to what their kids are playing. Hint: it doesn't exist, even in implied form, because it's completely irrelevant. You're 100%... misinformed. Where do you get off thinking that EVERY parent that buys their kids a game knows what it's about?
(slightly edited for clarity.)
Same here.
Oh, and Tekno-Crystal, I think you forgot an " 't " near the end of your post.
Goddamnit, I've been saying that all along, though not in so few words.
EDIT: Refering to PSP's comment (referring to GBrooks's above it), not GBrooks' "close this" comment.

Sometimes, that IS the case, but not normally. Besides, most "violent content" per se is that comic mischief found in Warner Bros. cartoons.
However, is killing someone as in something like GTA acceptable? Not really, as it EVENTUALLY WILL turn into a bit of a catharsis (though the point at which it does obviously differs from person to person). Besides, there are plenty of ways to make a game fun other than put as much offensive content as possible. The Guy Game was a really crappy game, as noted in multiple reviews, while a nice RPG of your choice (say, Pokemon [*shot*]) may do nicely. In fact, games like GTA are probably crappy games whose only selling point, as I mentioned before, is shock value anyway. We've all been watching cartoons, playing games, or reading books, about violence, but do you really ever see anybody imitate it?
