Yes. Her only advantage is that she is fast. (Ok. She learns NaZan, but at very late in game.) Having two shields equipped on her helps a bit. But not enough. She is also a good back up if Rolf runs out of TP when need to use Hinas/Ryuka. Anyway, I agree with you. If you want damage: leave her out.Dorrinal wrote:[*]Shir's HP is so low she needs to heal one turn earlier than everyone else.
Suprisingly you can use SaNer/Colorscarf many times and evetually theorically even Amy can be faster than Mother Brain. (You don't want Amy to be faster: Megid, MB attack, NaSar = whole lotta damage and full HP next round, assuming everyone in your party can take megid + MB attack.)Dorrinal wrote:[*]Even after a Saner/Colorscarf Anna and Shir move after Mother Brain -- reactive healing is not possible
Also SaShu works that way. But SaShu does not affect on special attacks like, MB's attacks on whole party.
And it seems that Nei Sword cancels SaNer and SaShu like effects on Dark Force battle.
Anyway SaNer is quite useful in Mother Brain battle.
Shir might be more effective than Hugh, but to archieve that she needs to know NaZan. So yes, again I agree with you. It just makes your life easier just to forget Hugh, and Shir too.Dorrinal wrote:So the strongest team for defeating Mother Brain would be Kain, Rudo and Hugh (I KNOW!). In practice you don't have 2-4 Star Mist and taking Amy will make your life easier; or if you do, Anna was so useful for the rest of the game that Hugh is still level 1 and you might as well take her instead. Also since Hugh, Shir and Anna put out such terrible damage you're not hurting yourself much by taking Amy.
Between Anna and Kain... Well. Both sucks. Kain's weakest point is when you go get Nei equipments. I don't know how well he manages with Laconian Maces against bio/dark enemies, but at least he can use his techs agains high DP enemies aka. robots. ;) Also I remember He can equip Nei Armor.
I cannot say who is better (Kain or Anna). I've always taken Anna. I guess I like slicers.
