Phantasy Star Online was released for the GameCube years ago when Nintendo didn't even want to go online, and that worked out well enough.
Nintendo also didn't have friend codes and restrictions to text either.

Sony, at least until some years ago, made low-quality hardware that would break quickly enough, so consumers would buy it again. This led to higher sales and more profit. Early PlayStations and PlayStation 2s were likely to break only a couple years in. I also dislike Sony for their arrogance and lies that were partly responsible for the demise of the Dreamcast.

There is more than party games. I haven't bought any. Either your tastes are wildly different than mine, or you're not looking.

Best solo game i have is Sonic and the secret rings, but that as good offline multiplayer too.

There are much better games on the Wii than this one.

Maybe it's because he feels that Metroid and Zelda games are a bunch of repetitive shit.

Consoles are finite like any other machine - doesn't matter who build them.
And the first Playstation owned the DC by itself, btw. When the PS2 came out, Sega was out of the console making business.
That was because they knew how to get the trust of their consumers.

Please provide proof that friend codes are required for playing online.
As for the text restriction, guess what; there was only text on GameCube as well. And I personally like it that way.

My Megadrive and Saturn are working still. And my friend's NES is working still. That NES is in use at least once in a week.BenoitRen wrote:Consoles are finite like any other machine - doesn't matter who build them.
Thank you Captain Obvious. But a game console breaking after two or three years is not normal at all. Most NESs kept working. Most Master Systems kept working. So did most SNESs and Mega Drives. And so on. It wasn't until the PlayStation that we got abnormal failure rates.
