Tails in Sonic Adventure 2, boring? Bah, you don't know the joy of blowing stuff up!

The running stages in Sonic Adventure 2 are much better. Wait until you play the rest of the characters.

Yeah. Quite a shame. It's very fun. Do you play it on PS3 or 360?

He's a 360 player.

I will agree that the running stages in Adventure 2 were better. From what I can remember anyway...last time I played it was before I even knew about PSO.

The tails/eggman stuff just didn't seem that great to me. Player preference I suppose.

After all of this Christmas celebration I will definitely give tails a go next.

Just because I could, I broke out RealMyst. I remember playing the original on my Sega Saturn many years before hair started growing on my chin, but being able to explore the unique worlds is still fun, now that I'm old enough to understand the plot.

Oh, and I never played PSO, so I have no opinion to share about it.Image

You fail :)

So, my brother received Kinect for his Xbox 360 as a Christmas present (opened early so the family could enjoy it). I will admit that I was skeptical at first but now I believe. If it is implemented properly by developers then I wouldn't have a hard time saying it is superior to the motion controllers of the Wii and PS3 (in terms of party games at this point of course).

But it terms of core games for the xbox's already established audience? The novelty will probably wear off soon enough, the eyetoys novelty for the PS2 wore off, the wii's motion did. Maybe the PS3 implementing it into older games like heavy rain could help, and it's a much cheaper add on.

I do still love the Myst series, though I still haven't gotten around to playing the last two games (stupid real life getting in the way). If you like the plot, you should check out the books, they're really good and the games make a lot more sense.

And I have played PSO (though never online, I have the Gamecube version), and it's fun, but I do prefer the original games.

Like I said, it is up to the developers to figure out whether or not they can bring the core audience into this thing. But hey, I play hardcore M rated games all the time and I had a lot of fun.

The novelty isn't wearing off. Nintendo is the whole reason Microsoft and Sony have got onto the wagon. This is what people are buying now. Look at Apple for instance. They came out of nowhere and now they are huge competition in gamepad-free gaming. All of this touch-screen motion controlled stuff is changing the industry. Its here to stay, and the technology will only improve.

Sony is in the worst position. Sure, they have HD graphics but the motion technology is dated because it is so similar to Nintendo. Now Nintendo can look at what both Sony and Xbox have done and make it better. Xbox wants their console to last until 2015 and Sony, well, they've lost so much money on the PS3 that I doubt they can afford to put out a PS4 any time soon. Now is the right time for Nintendo to say "We revolutionized gaming, and now the competition will have to try and keep up with us again."

But don't worry Semix, I'm sure you'll still get your annual COD release. Companies only care about what sells after all.
